چکیده
Nanotechnology offers many societal benefits and this have prompted the rapid growth of engineered nanomaterials. Fullerene (C60) due to its unique properties has become an important nanomaterial in biomedical and biotechnological applications. Once in water, Fullerene forms stable suspended aggregates and thus become bioavalable to aquatic biota. The fate and transport of fullerene in the aquatic environment is poorly understood. Little data are available on the molecular interactions of fullerene with native proteins of zebra fish (Daniorerio) which is a universally accepted experimental model. In this study, we made an attempt to assess the binding mode of fullerene with two key zebrafish proteins viz. Prostacyclin synthase (cytochrome P450 8A1) and S-100Z Calcium binding protein using Autodock 4. 0. The data indicates that Fullerene potentially binds to the active sites of both the

متن کاملAnalyses of the Binding between Water Soluble C60 Derivatives and Potential Drug Targets through a Molecular Docking Approach
Fullerene C60, a unique sphere-shaped molecule consisting of carbon, has been proved to have inhibitory effects on many diseases. However, the applications of C60 in medicine have been severely hindered by its complete insolubility in water and low solubility in almost all organic solvents. In this study, the water-soluble C60 derivatives and the C60 binding protein's structures were collected ...
متن کاملTheoretical Structural and Spectral Analyses of TEMPO Radical Derivatives of Fullerene
The spectroscopic properties of the 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO) radicalderivatives of the fullerene (C60) were theoretically investigated. The ground state optimizedstructures of the radical adducts of the fullerene were calculated by using DFT (B3LYP) with 6-31G(d) level. It was concluded that a 6-6 ring junction of C60 moiety generally covalently links to thepiperidine ring ...

Lactoferrin (Lf) is an iron-binding multi-functional glycoprotein which has numerous physiological functions such as iron transportation, anti-microbial activity and immune response. In this study, different in silico approaches were exploited to investigate Lf protein properties in a number of mammalian species. Results showed that the iron-binding site, DNA and RNA-binding sites, signal pepti...

The objective of this descriptive study was to determine Felis domesticus (cat) and Canis familiaris (dog) protein epitopes that bind strongly to selected HLA class II alleles to identify synthetic vaccine candidate epitopes and to identify individuals/populations who are likely to respond to vaccines. FASTA amino acid sequences of experimentally validated allergenic proteins of house cat and d...
